Our Story
We've been in love with retailing, good design, and style ever since our mothers
took us to lunch in the tea rooms of the old time department stores. It was so exciting to see
their grand and historic architecture, their cosmopolitan style, their displays of fabulous
merchandise and the wonderfully dressed models swirling by our table with the latest designer
fashions from "The Gold Room"
Portfolio Home and Gift was started in 2006 by merchandising and product design
professionals. Our retail backgrounds include product development and merchandising for major
specialty stores where we traveled the globe buying and developing exclusive products. Like most
retailers, we always wanted to have a store of our own. We saw a chance to develop something fun
and different online and to reflect how our families live today.
